20 inches, 23 inches, 25 inches

Materials:
Red Heart Baby Soft Sport Weight Yarn, one six ounce skien

Gauge:
18 st x 26 r = 4 inches

Keyplate:
dot 2

Back:
Cast on 41, 48, 52 stitches with WY.....K 6 rows .... Switch to MY and K 23, 28, 34 rows with MY ..... Put markers (waste yam or knitters pins) at each end of this row to mark for arm holes.....K24, 25, 26 rows ending COR ...... Break off MY leaving a two foot length ...... Cast off center 15, 16, 18 stitches onto WY and remove from machine... Push needles to NW P ....... This should leave 13, 16, 17 needles on each side ....... Starting with RHS push all other needles to HP.....Knit RHS needles onto 6 rows WY ...... Push RHS needles to HP and Push LHS needles to FWP.....Make sure all latches are open .... Knit these onto 6 rows WY....Remove back from machine,, remove hem and set aside ......

Front:
Cast on 41, 48, 52 stitches with WY.....K 6 rows.... Switch to MY and K 23, 28, 34 rows with MY ...... Put markers(waste yam or knitters pins) at each end of this row to mark for arm holes ...... K another 13 rows ending COR ....... Cast off center 7, 8, 10 sts onto WY and remove from needles .... Working on Right side only... Dec I stitch at neck edge every other row 4 times. Leaving 13, 16, 17 stitches remaining. K another 3, 4, 5 rows straight and break off MY leaving a two foot length. K onto 6 R WY.....Repeat this process, reversing the shaping, on the other side of the front for the other shoulder.....

Neckband:
Rehang the back LHS shoulder on machine with the right side facing you ...... Push back against the bed of the machine placing knitting behind the latches ...... Rehang the front LHS shoulder with the wrong side facing you and the right sides of the back and front facing each other ...... Leave these live stitches in the open latches of the needles .... Using a green card or needle pusher push back on the needles forcing the stitches in the front through the stitches of the back .... Back stitch bind off ..... Remove from machine ..... Rehang every stitch around the neckline onto the machine .... If you miss any it will leave a hole.....Hang the hem ...... Remove the guide wire from the carriage ........ Pull out yam two to three times the width of your knitting ....... Place the yam in the latches of the needles starting with the cut end at the carriage side .... Close needles over yam.....Run carriage across needles to knit the first row of stitches .......... Remove every third stitch to WY and push these needles to NWP ...... K 12 rows.....Latch up the stitches on WY to form ribbing .... Cast off onto 6 rows WY ....... Rehang the back RHS shoulder on machine with the right side facing you ...... Push back against the bed of the machine placing knitting behind the latches ...... Rehang the front RHS shoulder with the wrong side facing you and the right sides of the back and front facing each other ...... Leave these live stitches in the open latches of the needles .... Using a green card or needle pusher push back on the needles forcing the stitches in the front through the stitches of the back .... Back stitch bind off.....Remove from machine ... You should now have both fronts sewn to the back ....Sew the side neck seam......Sew down the ribbing to the inside of the sweater folding the ribbing down as you go.....Remove WY …..

Ribbing:
Rehang lower edge stitches of the back (with wrong side facing you) onto 36, 42, 46 needles... Rehang hem ...... K I R .... Remove every third stitch to WY and push these needles to NWP ......... K 9 rows ending COL.....Latch up stitches on WY to form ribbing .... Back stitch BO and remove hem .....

Sleeves:
Starting at COR bring forward 34, 36, 39 needles to BP.....With the wrong side facing you rehang the side stitches between the armhole markers ... Be sure to evenly space out the extra stitches, but do not rehang them ...... Hang the hem and knit the first row repeating the procedure as used for the first row of the neckband ribbing.....K 14, 15, 16 rows straight. Then as you knit dec 1 stitch at each end every 4 R 4 times..... You will end with 26, 28, 31 stitches remaining after you have knit 30, 31, 32 rows ...... End with COR.....Remove guide wire from carriage and remove MY from carriage without breaking it ...... Replace guide wire........ Remove every third stitch to WY and push these needles to NWP .... K 6 rows .... Latch up stitches on WY to form ribbing .... Back stitch BO and remove hem and WY.....Repeat for other sleeve .....

Finishing:
Block Sweater .... Sew down the neckband ribbing to the inside of the sweater folding the ribbing down as you go.....Remove WY..... Sew side seams ...... And you are done!
