Homemade Snow Globe

Take a washed out small plastic soda or water bottle and help your child make a homemade snow globe. Collect some small plastic, or other water resistant items, that will fit through the neck of your bottle. For Halloween, use small plastic bugs and pumpkins. For Christmas, use miniature Chrsitmas ornaments. For May Day, fill it with flowers. Use whatever you have around. Fill the bottle about 1/8 to 1/4 of the way. Add to the bottle 1/4 cup of fake snow or confetti. Use the plastic or foil kind and not the paper kind. Add a couple of drops of food coloring. Fill to within 1/2 inch of the top and add a drop of bleach to prevent mildew. Hot glue the lid on for the child and shake. This is the fun part. Before you finish the bottle, hide a special toy inside. When it's done see if they can find it.
