Materials: Lion Brand Wool-ease, one skein in black
Various colored Piallettes (see note below)

Gauge: 16 st x 26 r = 4 inches

Keyplate: 3 or dot 3

Size: one size, 16.5 inches wide at base, 13.5 inches long, 7 inches wide at neckline

Instructions: Cast on 68 needles with a closed edge cast on........Knit 3 rows.....*Decrease one stitch on each side and then on every third needle hang a piallettes.....Push the piallettes back against knitting and move all needles to FWP......Make sure all latches are open.....Knit first row slowly, pushing carriage with one hand while holding piallettes back and down with the other and keeping a close eye on those latches that they stay open....Knit two more rows.........Decrease one stitch on each side and then on every second needle hang a piallettes.....Push the piallettes back against knitting and move all needles to FWP......Make sure all latches are open.....Knit first row slowly, pushing carriage with one hand while holding piallettes back and down with the other and keeping a close eye on those latches that they stay open....Knit two more rows.....Repeat from * until you have only 30 stitches left and 60 rows....End with knit 1 row and bind off.....Single crochet around entire piece.....Crochet two 30 inch long chains for ties at bottom and two 24 inch long ties at neckline....Attach 4-5 piallettes to the end of each tie.....Attach to each corner and you are done.....The bottom ties should be long enough to wrap around and tie in front....Enjoy

 

Note- If you cannot find piallettes with a large hole then you will need to make a large hole in them with a single hole paper punch...
