Materials:
Clay or Play Dough
Dried Noodles or Tooth Picks
Small Twigs or Pipe Cleaners
Black Paint
Have the children form the clay into a body shape. Stick four twigs or small
bits of pipe cleaners for legs and feet. Stick tooth picks or noodles into body
for quills. Add two dots of black paint for eyes. Let dry on a small piece of
poster board with child's name on it so you know whose is whose. Hint: You can
also do this type of thing to make cactus plants or just about any type of animal
or insect.
