Tip For This Month: Stocking Up On Supplies Cheaply

Need crayons for your daycare?
Need painting smocks or outdoor toys?
Are somethings you could use for your daycare just too expensive for your budget right now? Try these tips.

Scour your local thrift and resale shops for toys, books and such. While you are there, don't over look other things that could be made useful for your daycare. Men's shirts, which can frequently be found for under a dollar, can be made into painting smocks with a few cuts of the scissors. Cut off the collar, shorten the sleeves and put it on the child with the buttons in the back. You now have a painting, or messy craft project, smock. Newborn size clothes and accessories can be used for your daycare's baby dolls. Old formals and heeled shoes can be used for dress-up. Don't forget those neckties, handbags and scarves for the dress-up area. Use your imagination and don't forget to search your local garage sales as well.
