Tip For May 1999: Homemade Water Table

Have you seen those expensive water tables in catalogs or at schools?
Would you like to have one for your day care, but don't want to pay hundreds for it?
Here is how to make one yourself.

Materials:
Under the bed storage box
Child sized picnic table or plastic patio table
Rubbermaid grip liner (non-skid shelf liner)

Cut the liner to fit the the top of your table. Remove the lid from the box. Place liner on the top of the table with the box on top of the liner. You now have a inexpensive water table for the kids to play with outside, or inside if you are brave enough. Fill it with water and toys, bubble solution, sand, styrofoam peanuts, etc. The kids will love it.
